The Story

When Oklahoma voters approved legalizing medical cannabis in 2018, Russell Britten and the team at Environmental Testing, Inc. (ETI) saw an opportunity to utilize their years of testing experience to help cannabis entrepreneurs ensure the highest quality of their product. Rather than simply add it to the list of ETI’s services, they sought to create a new business for this enterprise, and chose Robot House to build the brand, starting with the name.

Collaborating through our Blueprint Process, we brainstormed multiple names and story directions, landing on Cannabest Labs to reinforce the testing expertise they offer and the reliable results clients will receive. We established a soft yet dynamic color palette to stand out amongst the green-heavy branding of the industry, with a geometric “C” mark that references the chemistry at the heart of the work. Alongside their informative website, Robot House has partnered with the Cannabest team to create social posts, print ads, booth materials for the industry convention CannaCon, a radio campaign, wearables, and foil-pressed business cards that have proven to be very popular with potential clients.
