The Story

Billy Goat Ice Cream Company owner RaShaun Robinson shared with Robot House his vision for a high-end, proudly Oklahoma-based, cannabis edibles company, specializing in ice cream, as well as chocolates and cookies. He needed a brand, a website, packging design, marketing materials and, most importantly, a name.

Through our Blueprint Process, we collaborated with RaShaun to build a brand that referenced its Oklahoma roots in a unique, unexpected way. Inspired by the stargazing parties that are held at Black Mesa, the highest point of geography in the state, we chose Stargazer Edibles for the brand, unleashing the Robot House team’s not-very-inner nerd to embrace both aeronautic iconography as well as playing with design and illustration inspired by mid-century NASA manuals.

Phrases like “Prepare for liftoff” and “Become one with stars” were weaved into the brand story, positioning Stargazer as much more than just an edibles brand – it’s a lifestyle brand, as evidenced by the domain chosen for the website: Stargazer.Life.

A comprehensive photoshoot with Simon Hurst Photography provided a treasure trove of delicious product imagery, gracing the pages of the website, sales catalog and conceptually-themed Instagram account.

The brand design and messaging generated considerable buzz before launch, and the product has proven immediately popular with retail locations statewide. The collaboration has proven hugely successful for all parties, and Robot House is excitingly creating new packaging solutions and customer outreach materials to help take Stargazer Edibles to even greater heights.
