You Are the Face of Robot House
As an employee of Robot House, you are encouraged to observe the highest standards of professional conduct at all times. We trust that you will act responsibly in conducting yourself while at work and elsewhere. Nevertheless, there are certain standards of behavior that we expect from you.
Such conduct includes, but is not limited to:
With Respect to Your Employee Status at Robot House
- Reporting to work on time, as scheduled; we’re depending on you
- Notifying your Supervisor as soon as is practical, or at least 1 hour in advance when you will be absent from work or are unable to report for work on time
- Learning your job and performing to the best of your ability accurately and efficiently
- Following and respecting management’s instructions concerning a job or related matter
- Speaking to the appropriate person when you have an idea, suggestion, problem, or complaint
- Taking charge of your own career growth and development by discussing and setting appropriate goals with your Supervisor
- Complying with Robot House policies and behaving in an ethical manner at all times
- Communicating to the best of your ability, at all times.
With Respect to Working with Clients and the Public
- Maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary and confidential Robot House information, including but not limited to personnel, salary and wage information, strategies, materials and documents
- Providing all clients with the highest level of client service
- Endeavor to deliver an experience that exceeds the expectations of our clients
Addition Conduct Information
The following conduct, in addition to standards of behavior described elsewhere, is not permitted and will subject the individual involved to disciplinary action up to and including termination. These examples are illustrative of the types of behavior that are not permitted at Robot House but are not intended to be all inclusive or listed in a particular order.
- Acts of harassment or ridicule of employees based on their race, color, national origin, sex, religion, ancestry, disability,or age while on the job
- Knowingly withholding important information vital to the efficient operation of Robot House
- Use of abusive, inflammatory, or threatening language or rude, offensive conduct on the job or while on Robot House property or business
- Any act that may endanger the safety or lives of others or yourself including fighting or engaging in physical violence, violent or threatening behavior of any kind
- Theft, misuse, or willful destruction of Robot House property or of another individual’s property, and/or failure to report any knowledge of theft
- Falsifying any personal or Robot House record or report
- Possession or use of firearms or other weapons while on Robot House business or property
- Performing work for any other Robot House or organization other than Robot House during normal business hours, on Robot House premises, or while on a paid leave of absence unless authorized by management
- Performing work of a personal nature during normal business hours or on Robot House premises. This includes the storage of personal items in Robot House-owned files, hardware, disks, hard drives, networks, or on Robot House premises
- Use, possession, sale, or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal or non-prescribed prescription drugs during working hours
- Performing poorly on the job; incompetence or unsatisfactory work
- Engaging in any criminal activity
- Discussing salary or employment agreements with other employees
- Openly displaying attitude or hostile behavior inappropriate for the workplace
- Unwillingness to work overtime on the occasions it is required or necessary
- Falsifying employment records
- Unauthorized removal of a fellow worker’s or employer’s property
- Willful or negligent damage or abuse of Robot House property
- Operating a motor vehicle or equipment while on Robot House business in an unsafe manner
- Refusal to accept a work assignment
- Poor or irregular attendance, including excessive tardiness and absences
- Engaging in personal hobbies during work hours when you’re expected to be working. (Reading, crafts, etc.)
- Abuse or excessive use of phone or e-mail to include text messaging and surfing the web during business hours
